If we were having coffee, I’m buying. It’s supposed to be a nice Spring day today so we’ll go out and it’s my treat. Why? I’ll tell after I caffeinate myself. Black tea, STAT! I got up at 7:42 a.m…. on a Saturday. I’m going to talk with my internal clock. My Cajun Acadian Circadian Rhythm apparently malfunctioned? Let’s chat.
I’m either malfunctioning or heading toward the time of life when I get up at 5am, eat dinner at 4pm and fall asleep by 9 at the latest. I’m not there, yet. But I’m getting there, every year in fact, including this Tuesday, April 11, which is MY BIRTHDAY! *Kermit Muppet Flail* Sorry, I loves me my birthday, so much so, I celebrate the entire month. Ice cream! Nature walks! Long drives! Evenings wrapped up in the softest blankie ever! Just a month of me taking care of me to celebrate ME!
Speaking of Tuesday and my birthday, check back on April 11 for a special post, a la On A Very Special ‘Blossom’. Don’t fret — it’s not all about me. It involves other people’s birthdays, on the same day! memories! (My site’s header is a hint for your Sherlock Holmes-y types.) And if I can figure out how to get cake through the screen, it’s yours!
Now, about this past week. You may remember returning to working for someone else required some adjustment. I say with authority now I totally forgot how difficult the week after vacation can be. I set myself up well by doing so much before I left and leaving explicit instructions (involving charts, graphs, and checklists). Still, I was BUSY this week. One minion (lovingly called so) said, “I think she held back because you weren’t here.” So I’z tired. Hence all the caffeine, which as I said, I’m buying. Why? Well, on Friday, I got a raise! It’s not even my anniversary! Totally unexpected! Kicks in next week. I said, “Oh, for my birthday! Thanks!” ha
This week’s fun: Kicking Jeopardy! butt most nights. Plus, Thursday Doors: Me, the Doors, and David Bowie. And, as always, my #365Project on Instagram. (And if you missed Confirmed: Mojo’s Return last week, check it out.)
This week’s challenge: Sleeping soundly — it’s hot, it’s cold, one blanket, no blanket, two blankets. I hate the transition from winter to spring. I also have to finish my taxes. Does any of my money go toward that thing El Presidente calls a haircut? If so, I want a refund.
Well, this is the last time this Tara Year that we’ll visit. I’ll see you when the next Tara Trip ‘Round the Sun begins. Stay springy! Stay young! And stay thirsty, my friends (I’m buying, remember?)
Until next week… Peace.
